Design of New Processes to Support Changing Business Models
Engagements
Client: National Diet Food Firm
Challenge: A national diet food firm had decided to begin marketing telephone based health screening services that would result in customized dietary plans for their customers. They needed to quickly set up an inbound / outbound sales / service function that could generate sales and then service the newly acquired customers.
Solution: BPA investigated similar processes at other firms and identified the best practices that applied to this company’s business model. The key managers were then engaged to participate in a series of interactive process definition / mapping sessions. The gaps in their tools and personnel were identified and action plans were established to rectify the missing resources. Based upon the estimated resource requirements identified by BPA, the company executives decided to delay proceeding with this new business venture.
